Sustainable water resources are essential to human health, environmental sustainability and economic prosperity according to United Nation Statistics. Sub-Saharan Africa is confronted with the challenge of poor health care, inadequate hygiene and lack of clean water, which alters the effective economic growth of a country, and its ability to stay free of grants and debts. Children suffer more in this stead, as they are exposed to numerous toxins and harmful environments which result in preventable diseases.

In 2015, 263 million people spent over 30 minutes collecting water from an improved source and were therefore classified as having a “limited” service. In most countries, the burden of collecting, water falls mainly on women and girls according to the United Nations.

Echi Oma Africa Foundation aims at providing access to clean water in communities with little or no access to clean water. Access to clean water will help alleviate the effects of ill health and poverty on women, children and the entire household.

We seek to improve health, nutrition and good hygiene by providing access to clean water in local communities.
